Back at It!

Now that Mommy's big test is finished, we can resume a social life.

To kick off normalcy, we played in the snow, went to a birthday party, hosted a dinner party for 9 adults and assorted children, and then for kicks Maria hosted a baby shower for 20+ women (Jack is very unsure what a baby shower is. Why does the baby need a shower? He doesn't like showers, why would a baby? Why does the mom have a big belly? Did she eat the baby? Can he have a big belly with a baby in it when he grows up?  Lots of questions.)

The birthday party we attended was for Jack's buddy Harold who lives on our block. Harold is in kindergarten, so Jack was the youngest kid there. He hung back quite a bit, until the cakes came out. Then he was in a the center of the action!

Later, we hosted a dinner party, and Jack chose the invite list. Of course, that included his best friends Tommy and Divya (and their little sisters, who Jack chooses to ignore, as do their siblings). What was amazing is that they all sat at the table and ate dinner together. This was the only picture we managed to get, but it is pretty funny how serious they all look.

The girl in the purple is Abby, Tommy's little sister, who can't understand why she is not always included. She is just old enough to make her presence known.

Lastly, Jack took a sip of Maria's San Pellegrino the other night. And his expression was priceless. Good, more for me!
