Moving Forward

And just like that, Summer is over and Fall is here.  The start of Fall always seems like a new beginning to me; more than January ever has.  It is probably because school starts and the lazy days of Summer give way to the hustle and bustle.  The air suddenly has a crispness and the mugginess that characterizes DC in July and August all but disappears over night.  At this time of year, it always seems  like you can feel change coming along with the first change in the color of the leaves.  This year the feeling seems particularly heightened.

We are moving forward.  Jack is a busy two and a half year old.  Between school, the Bloomingdale 2 year old fall soccer league and all of his playdates, this is one busy kid!   (And by Bloomingdale 2 year old soccer league, I seriously mean a soccer league for all of the kids in the neighborhood in the Park - 40 kids along with their parents showed up this morning!)

Touch your toes!

And so, with the start of Fall, we move forward. We move forward into the new school year, we move forward to new beginnings and we move forward to whatever will be coming our way as we watch this amazing little boy continue to grow.

Jack is my partner in crime.  I cherish every moment with him, even those where I wish he was napping so I could shower.  And so we move forward into Fall and whatever this new beginning brings.
