Jack's First iPad purchase

The side panel was removed from Jack's crib this week, and his crib is now officially a "toddler bed," which means he can exit freely. A safety precaution. Jack is tall enough and has the upper body strength now to climb out, and no one wants a fall out of the crib, so a toddler bed change was made. As a reward for being such a big guy, and as a tool to help chill him out and keep him in the bed, Jack got an iPad. This is a pic of Jack "shopping" at the Apple store in Georgetown.

And for those of you thinking: "a 2.5 year old with an iPad, that is crazy!" Ok, I feel you on that. But, it is 2013 and kids are crazy good at technology, even at a very young age, and frankly, Jack can't be behind his peers, many of whom also have iPads of their own. Face it, iPads, iPhones, etc. are the future and with all the learning games available on the iPad, this is actually a pretty cool tool for him to learn, develop computer skills and refine his hand-eye coordination.

So, Jack, buddy, when you ready this a decade from now on your iPad version 16, or whatever awesome device you are using that I can't even imagine now in 2013 that exists in 2023, remember this moment and laugh, because to me, your first iPad is pretty awesome, but to you in 10 years the technology will be obsolete.

And remember to ask me about Nintendo.
