Spring Break 2013!

Spring Break Encinitas 2013!!! Whoo Hoo!!!

Actually, it was not Jack's spring break, but Olivia's.  Olivia is the daughter of one of my best friend's from law school.  Her mom and I became legal writing partners during the first or second week of law school and the rest was history.  Olivia's Mom needed some help watching Olivia while she was on her spring break.  (What is it with two year olds needing spring break?  These guys live a pretty charmed life, but I digress.)   Even though Jack's spring break had occurred a few weeks before, we hopped a plane to help out a dear friend, because what else are friends for, and spent the week in Encinitas hanging with Olivia and the rest of her family.

The week started off with, naturally, a trip to the San Diego Zoo!  Olivia's grandmother and aunt were also on hand for the trip because otherwise two 2 year olds without a double stroller would have been impossible to maneuver.

Like all good spring breaks, this one was full of tables with a view, indulging in favorite snacks and saluting "cheers!" before every drink!

Of course, no spring break is complete without something bubbly....

or a foam party!

Unfortunately, there was also questionable driving...

and cramming into spaces that were originally not designed for that many bodies.

While I took the kids to story time at the library, and we ate out to dinner a bunch, unquestionably the most fun were the trips to the playgrounds!

And Jack's particular favorite, the playground next to the construction site next to the ocean.

These two wild party animals were definitely swingers,

and adorable partners in crime.

I know Jack misses Olivia already; he keeps asking "where Olivia go?"

We hope she come visits us soon!
