Guys Weekend

This weekend, Maria got away for 36 hours to Boston to see her friend Sandra and to attend her wedding shower. Guys weekend! Jack, Skylos and daddy had good fun, especially since daddy has been and will continue to travel a lot, so it was great to spend quality time together.

Friday night started with dinner before Maria left at Smokehouse BBQ in Adams Morgan. Fried chicken for Maria, but vegan BBQ "wings" and "spare ribs" for Michael and Jack. Yum!

Saturday was play-time. It was gorgeous in DC - 65 and sunny - so Jack got outside to ride his bike with Uncle Jeff!

Jack was so excited to see Jeff, he was literally climbing the walls!

Sunday Funday ... dad was a little tired at 630a, so it was breakfast in bed for Jack

Then real breakfast of eggs and tofu. Yep, my kid, Jack loves tofu!

Back outside where we spent most of Sunday, another beautiful day. Jack enjoyed the flowers in bloom, and played hard in the park and at the playground.

We visited Aunt Ashely at her job at Kafe Bohem. Jack enjoyed a cookie and Michael enjoyed a delicious latte. 

And before the sun went down - basketball! A great active weekend, but of course, we were very happy when mommy got home. Jack must have said "Mommy!" 100x before calming down when she walked in the door. A true mommy's boy.
