Jack's First Day of School!

Today was Jack's first day of school!  Our tuition dollars have already been attending Aidan Montessori for some time, we're glad Jack was finally able to attend as well!

It's not every day we have snow in DC.  Jack was entirely unsure what to make of it.
We parked the car and walked Jack to the front of the school.

At the front gate, we met Ms. Molly who would be escorting Jack to class.

There was some hesitation and pouting.

But our big guy walked right into the classroom and never looked back!
Jack was only there for a short period today.  Normally, he will stay until 11:15, but today he left at 10.  When Maria picked Jack up there were squeals of "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" and he ran to her, it was pretty cute. According to his teacher, he had a great day!  He went to the bathroom in the potty twice (huh?  this kid never does this at home!?!) and she put him in cotton underwear all morning (seriously?!?!).  He played for ten minutes with one puzzle that had modes of transportation (So you mean my kid likes cars and trucks and puzzles and will sit for a while doing one thing?  Yup, I knew this).  He was agreeable and verbal (again this is not new).

Jack even got to ride home on the metro!  This was especially fun since the elevator was out, which meant Maria had to fold up the stroller, and hold Jack's hand and the stroller down the escalator at the Woodley Park metro, which consists of two escalators, the longer of which is 204 feet.  And Jack decided that since he is a true Washingtonian, he was going to walk down.  There are no pictures of this.  Maria had her hands full.
