Butterflies, Bugs and Bones!

Today we headed back to one of our favorite places in DC, the Natural History Museum, to check out TITANOBOA: MONSTER SNAKE!  Unfortunately, the exhibit was closed because something unexpected had broken (did TITANOBOA get free???) so we resorted to our usual haunts, checking out bugs, butterflies and bones.

Touching is prohibited inside the Butterfly Pavilion.  Jack has decided it is cruel that his mother even makes him go inside of the Pavilion because of this 'unfriendly-to-Jack' rule.

Maybe just a little touch won't hurt it...

After Jack was tortured with the butterflies he could not touch, we ran all around the rest of the museum, checking out all of the interactive exhibits on bones, bugs, stars, mammals, dinosaurs.

The Mammal Exhibit Hall has replicas of all of our favorite friends from the zoo.

Jack saw this guy making this face...

and decided he would do it, too!
