Magic Kingdom!

Jack just spent four days, yes four days, in Disney World!  Because we took so many pictures and have so many memories, we decided to break up the blog postings, and create one for each of the parks we visited and one for our resort.

There are a couple of things of note applicable to every day of our trip:  (1) We only had one vomiting episode in a rest stop somewhere in central Florida, only Maria and Jack were victims; (2) Jack woke up at 5 am almost every single morning we were there; and (3) because of the 5 am wake ups, Jack took the longest naps on record.

Of course, no trip to Disney World would be complete without a trip to the Magic Kingdom, which is where our journey began.

Our first stop in the Magic Kingdom was Prince Charming's Carousel.  Jack is crying not because he is scared or because he did not want to ride on the pretty horses, but because his Mom (his most favorite person EVER) is not on the ride with him.

After a quick stop to "It's a Small World" we headed into Frontierland and ran into Chip and Dale!

We then took Jack to the Haunted House, which was always one of Maria's favorite rides as a kid.  Jack loved walking through the cemetery on our way into the ride with all of the touch activated graves.  The happy haunts helped us get into the Halloween spirit!

Jack was already ready for a nap by the time we made it into the ride.  October was a great time of year to go to Disney. While, granted, we did not go on any of the really big rides because someone (not Maria) was not tall enough to ride them, we never had a wait for any of the rides we wanted to go on at any of the parks.

Booo!!  Haunted House!

Following a quick diaper change, Jack got his mojo back and we headed to Cinderella's Castle to watch Mickey, Minnie and a gaggle of princesses with their princes sing and dance.  Jack was really into the show and kept shouting for "Mickey".

The background of this picture looks fake.  Such a beautiful day!

After lunch and nap Mike's Dad and Step-Mom (aka Papi and Granny) showed up and we all headed back into the Magic Kingdom.

This picture was Maria's only requirement for the entire trip - Mickey Mouse ears on all of the Robbins men!

Following a trip through Tomorrowland, Jack saw a car he just had to have and his grandparents were only too happy to oblige.  He has been zooming this car now non-stop since he got it.  Thank you!

No trip to Disney World is complete without a ride on the Teacups!

In the evening we all headed to the Crystal Palace for a very special dining event - dinner with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eyore and Piglet, too!  We were not sure how Jack would respond to the characters - they are strange, large, life like stuffed animals walking around silently.  Once Maria hugged Piglet it was all clear.  If Mommy likes these guys, so will Jack!  (Hope that same technique works for Santa...)

Jack being introduced to Piglet.

Hi-five!

The looks on Jack's face when meeting all of the characters was worth the price of admission.  He was mesmerized and exhibited the type of happiness only a child can possess.

Waiting to meet Pooh Bear!

More hi-fives!

Eyore has no reason to be sad with the loving he is getting from Jack!

Jack totally transfixed on Eyore as we tried to get a family picture.

Meeting the wonderful Tigger!

Jack and Tigger played together.

I think Jack enjoyed his time with Tigger.

We also chased Piglet around the restaurant.
Hey!  Don't you remember me!?!?  We are best friends!

Dinner ended late and we decided to head back to the hotel and skip the fireworks.  We had more big days planned ahead and Maria and Michael needed some sleep to keep up.
