Epcot

The last time Maria was at Epcot the Grosse Pointe South Pointe Singers were named the International (even though there were only teams from the US) Showstoppers Showchoir Competition Grand Champions.  They performed at the America Pavilion, had three costume changes, tap danced and had a moving set.  As showchoirs go, they were fierce.  Needless to say, Maria has found memories from Epcot and was very excited to take her men there.

First stop Spaceship Earth!  We went up into the giant ball that is the symbol of Epcot.  Jack was skeptical of yet another ride, but ultimately had a blast.

And why wouldn't he?  At the end of the ride he got to help Daddy drive a race car!

It was a beautiful day at Epcot, ignore the sour puss face.  One of us smiling and that's what matters.
After spending time at the living seas and going on a way cool Nemo ride (which Jack did legitimately love), we headed over to visit all of the different countries.  There was a food & wine festival going on that Sunday, but unfortunately Jack was not in the mood to sit and drink.  Oh well, we will go back and taste offerings from around the world another time.

Dude.  What?  Where do these crazy people keep taking me?

Having a blast on Dad's shoulders!

Playing ball with a mime in Italy.  (Not real Italy, Disney Italy)

Happy Robbins Family!

Jack had a great meal at the Mexican restaurant we went to for dinner.  He polished off all of the rice and almost an entire bowl of beans.  Maria is so happy he still wears diapers...

After our meal, we went on the ride in Disney Mexico.  It was truthfully kind of lame, and Jack started to get tired.  We then decided to ditch the light show and head back to our hotel for the evening.

We had a lovely day at Epcot.  Upon further reflection, after having been there with Jack as a toddler, I think he will enjoy this park more when he is a little older, can appreciate the country exhibits and some of the exhibitions that surround the entrance to the park about new technologies.  Sometimes I think I forget that he is only a toddler since we frequently speak to him normally (not in baby talk), he has traveled so extensively and is so verbal. One of the things both Michael and I reflected on is while Jack really enjoyed our trip, we think he will enjoy it even more when he is a little older and can really appreciate everything Disney has to offer.  Which will mean we will be even more exhausted!
