Urban Baby Meets Grass

For those of you who follow Jack's blog and do not live in the DC area, you may not realize that we do not have much grass by us in the U Street Corridor of DC.  Oh sure, there are clumps here and there.  But nothing we would ever characterize as pastoral, more like doggie-urinals.  This weekend we took Jack to one of our favorite parks, Kalorama Park, which boasts not just a playground, but also a grassy knoll.  It is a great place for a picnic, and also provides a soft landing for a small guy learning to walk.  Jack had tons of fun tearing up the grass, attempting to put it in his mouth before his mom stopped him, and playing with sticks.

This stick is awesome!

What is this green stuff?
